23010 – increased protection levels (IP56 – IP65 – IP67)
It’s a motor protection level against the operator’s possible accidental contacts or against the possibility of intrusion of liquid or solid. The protection level is identified by two digits: first digit, protection against the solid , second digit, protection against liquid. The standard motor has a protection level IP55 (protected against dusts and water jets from every direction by a sprayer); it’s possible to produce , upon request, motors with level IP56 (against dusts and water projections similar to marine waves), IP 65 (completely against the dusts and water jets from every direction) and IP67 (totally against dusts and the effects of immersion).
23020 – Tropicalization
It’s produced thanks to the manufacture of an interior coverage with an insulating varnish which avoids the motor corrosion due to dust and aggressive substances.
23030 – Hole for the condensation discharge
When motors are installed open-air or used in a discontinuous service in environments with a high damp level, they must have holes for the condensation discharge.
23040 – H Class insulation
The insulation class of an electrical motor indicates the maximum reachable temperature by its own windings in relation to the environment’s one. The H insulation class indicates a maximum overheat of 180°C
23050 – Execution for power supply by inverter
Use a frequency converter for powering the motor requires some attentions linked to the peak voltage and wave fronts; a special insulation for motors of size equal or higher than 315 is produced, which protects them against these voltage peaks , in addition to the decrease of 10% of the rated power. Moreover, the power supply by inverter can create a stress between bearings N-end and D-end ; for that reason the motors of a size equal or higher than 315 are equipped with an insulation in the N-end bearing.
