22010 – Servoventilation
The use of motors at low speeds (lower than nominal ones) requires the forced ventilation use. The servoventilation allows the motor cooling when used at low rotations (Ex: power supply by inverter) thanks to fact that it’s powered aside from. They are available with both mono-phase and three-phase power supplies and IP55 or IP65 protection levels.
22020 – PTC
The PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) are thermistors which protect the motor from overload and overheat. They are inserted directly in the windings (one for each winding). Their operation way is linked to the temperature changes of the windings in which they’re inserted. They react at temperature changes by increasing their resistance (ohm), which will reach its peak in the same time of their maximum temperature (150°C) allowing the opening of the electrical circuit, operation that will stop the motor.
22030 – PT100
PT100 (thermometer with resistance or RTD) are temperature sensors which use the resistance change at temperature change. They are platinum resistors and 100 indicates the resistance values from 0°C up to 100°C (a PT100 is around 140 ohm). They can be equally inserted in windings or bearings in order to gain the temperature value and avoid the bearing seizure and related damages on motor and windings. The PT100 is an extremely precise and completely digital sensor, suitable for the use with ultimate generation inverters designated to the asynchronous three-phase motor control.
22040 – Klixon
Klixon is a bi-metal with usually closed contact which opens the electrical circuit at an established temperature (150°C) basing itself on the principle of the different dilatation of the two metals which form it. The temperature is obviously influenced by the surrounding one. If the environmental temperature is quite elevated, a power supply lower than the nominal one is required , or a reduced time, for the jerk occurrence.
22050 – anti-condensation heaters
For motors operating in high damp environments and with strong temperature range the anti-condensation heaters application is suggested. They're belt shaped and they’re mounted on the headboard, side B, of the stator windings. Their power supply(220/240V) normally substitutes the motor's one when this is interrupted, generating an heater which avoids the condensation production. The powers generally used are indicated in the following table:
22060 – Encoder
It’s an electromechanical device which inverts the angular position of its rotating axle in electrical digital numerical signals . In the speed meter encoders a scale made of black and white notches is fixed on the object whose we want to measure the move ; every time that a movement clear-dark occurs, a sensor detects and sends a pulse which is registered from an electrical counter. The measured distance is proportional to the number of pulses registered by the counter. The registered number of pulses-per-time unit is proportional to the speed measured during the move. The encoder, mounted on the motor rotor, it’s able to detect its angular position
