Synchronous and asynchronous generators for hydroelectric power plants

Main features

All generators are designed in according with the standards IEC 60034-1 e CEI EN 60034 and provide nominal voltages of 380V - 690V - 3KV - 6KV - 11KV - 15KV or similar. The power range for asynchronous generators starts from few kW up to few hundred kW, and from 20KVA up to  5.000KVA for the synchronous. Polarities start from 4 up to 30 poles and over. The mechanical construction  can be self-ventilated IP23 or with an exchanger.  Versions with  roller bearings, carter bearings ("in oil bath") or sliding bearings  are also available. B3 horizontal version or V10 vertical. We have 3   serial PTC on windings and F isolation class. The assured endurance of the bearings is around 100.000 h.

Production features

It's a machine produced only upon request, also able to bear loads and thrusts of the turbines by shafts and special accessories. It's produced in the self-ventilated version or with an air/water exchanger. It can be provided with rolling bearings or bushings, with vertical or horizontal structure. It's produced for low and medium voltage (from 3KV up to 15 KV), with a power range from 300KVA up to 5.000KVA, also with an elevated  number of poles for turbines. The rotor structure provides special gears to bear the breakaway speed. The performances at different loads are optimized. Slow versions with elevated polarities are provided, up to 8 MVA, and with an axle height up to 1250 mm.

Accessories

The digital voltage  regulator MEC100 for  the regulation of voltage and the power factor can  also be provided together with the generator. A supply of check and protection accessories is also available. Among these we have: Pt100 sensors in the windings and supports, vibration sensors, anti-condensation heaters, speed sensors, hydraulic units and coaxial jacket pumps for the sliding supports. Rimor also provides, only upon request, systems or soundproof casings.

Areas of use

They're expressly made for hydroelectric power plants. They're coupled with Pelton, Franci, Kaplan, and bulb or Banki  turbines. An assistance service for the operating starting, a periodical checking and programmed service contracts  are also available.
